Feeding local people in crisis

Published: 14 March 2018

Edinburgh Technopole has set up a foodbank collection point in Bush House reception and are seeking food contributions from tenants and Campus colleagues.

The Midlothian Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities, as well as across the UK. In 2016/17, The Trussell Trust’s Foodbank Network provided 1,182,954 three-day emergency food supplies and support to UK people in crisis. Of these 430,000 went to children.

Edinburgh Technopole welcome food donations to help in their efforts to contribute to this worthy cause. With Easter approaching, they would be grateful for any Easter egg donations as well as many urgent non-perishable tinned goods including tinned fruit, tomatoes, meat, soup and dried pasta.
