Moredun Honorary Doctorates

Congratulations to Moredun Foundation President, Dr John Cameron, and Professor Julie Fitzpatrick, Scientific Director of the Moredun Research Institute.

Dr John Cameron CBE, President of the Moredun Foundation, has been awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws from the University of St Andrews for his contributions to agriculture, transport and education.

Dr Cameron, who farms in Fife and Perthshire, is a strong and passionate supporter of the Moredun Foundation and the livestock industry both in Scotland and internationally and he is recognised as the most influential sheep farmer in Europe.

He has also served as president of the Scottish National Farmers Union and was chairman of the International Federation of Agricultual producers and the European Union Sheepmeat Committee.

Congratulations also to Professor Julie Fitzpatrick, Scientific Director of the Moredun Research Institute, receives an Honorary Doctorate of Science from Edinburgh Napier University on Thursday June 29.
