Moredun’s Director of Communications wins prestigious Scottish Knowledge Exchange Award

Professor Innes has been recognised for her work developing innovative knowledge exchange activities and events to help connect scientific researchers with a broad range of different stakeholders to improve the uptake and application of new technologies.

She has been instrumental in helping to grow the membership of the Moredun Foundation to more than 12,000 members across the livestock industry and has worked to ensure that new research findings are used effectively to improve livestock health and welfare and farm productivity.

More recently, Professor Innes lead a successful bid to create the Scottish Government Centre for Knowledge Exchange and Impact which works to increase the impact of the research outputs from the £250 million investment in agriculture, food and environmental research carried out by the world leading Scottish Research Institutes.

The Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards were organised by Interface, an organisation which helps to match businesses to world leading Scottish Universities and Research Institutes to stimulate innovation.

The winners were announced at the 2017 Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards held at RBS Gogarburn Conference Centre in Edinburgh on Tuesday 21st February.
