Nurture with nature

Edinburgh Technopole hosted pupils from Glencorse Primary School in a fun and educational afternoon planting bulbs and seeds on the Midlothian Science Park.
The local school childern took delight in a muck filled day planting thousands of poppy seeds in a variety of colours (red, orange, dark purple and mauve) to create a Memorial Garden within the stunning grounds of the Science and Business Park, with the help of landscape contractors Nurture.
The children then explored further into the woodland to plant over 1,500 native scottish bluebells before heading back to the magnificient Bush House for a rewarding and well earned lunch followed by cupcakes.
The project was supported by Nurture Landscapes who kindly donated the bulbs and seeds. The team also provided special pencils - when the pencil becomes short (if you can wait that long), it is time to place it in a pot, look after it, and within 4 weeks hopefully a plant should appear. Amazing!
