Plant a tree at EPP Environmental Centre
Published: 2 November 2021
The EPP Environmental Centre is a fully GLP compliant facility on the Bush Estate, in Midlothian Science Zone, established in 2014 and accommodates the company's experienced team of environmental scientists.
The site contains five large purpose built environmental laboratories, suitable for all types of freshwater aquatic and terrestrial ecotoxicology testing; three preparatory labs, a radiochemistry suite suitable for both formulation work and organic synthesis, and an analytical suite suitable for analysis of both radio-labelled and non-radio-labelled compounds.
One of the missions at EPP is rooted in making the planet a better place, including following the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, and by making environmentally friendly choices each day we can all help. In this spirit, EPP and its employees try to balance the needs of the business against environmentally damaging practices.
From the 2nd to 12th November 2021, in support of COP26 - the world’s annual climate conference - for all new orders over £1,000, EPP Ltd will plant a tree at the EPP Environmental Centre. Located in a stunning, parkland setting, this natural environment is one much appreciated by all the team and provides health and wellbeing benefits as well as being climate friendly.
Trees can help save our planet, as they absorb CO2, create oxygen, restore water cycles, prevent soil erosion and so much more. Almost all land-based animals rely on trees as habitat. Trees offer shelter and food. No trees = no home.
“People who will not sustain trees will soon live in a world that will not sustain people.“
― Bryce Nelson
