Over the years, the awards have recognised some of Scotland’s most promising companies, and previous winners have included businesses like Craneware, Nucleus, Screenmedia, iomart, FanDuel, FreeAgent, and Skyscanner, Scotland’s first $1 billion web company.
Aiming to raise the profile of Scottish companies pushing the boundaries in digital tech, the awards were established in 2011 by ScotlandIS, the trade body for Scotland’s IT industry. The ten awards cover a broad range of categories from Investment Deal of the Year to International Technology Star.
Contributing £4bn in GVA to the economy, some 80,000 people work in Scotland’s digital technologies industry, which is increasingly adding to export revenues.
Talking about the awards, Polly Purvis, CEO of ScotlandIS, said: “Scotland’s digital tech industry continues to grow and it’s great to see so many companies thriving. These awards provide businesses with a valuable opportunity to be recognised for their achievements in the wider digital tech community.
“We really look forward to the judging process and it’s always great to see the innovative products changing the digital landscape in Scotland and beyond. The awards consistently showcase the best Scotland has to offer and it’s a pleasure to celebrate the successes of the industry.’
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 18 June at The Arches in Glasgow.
Entrants are not required to be ScotlandIS members and there is no charge to enter.
