Edinburgh Science Festival's 2025 programme announced

Can Scotland meet ambitious climate targets while nearly all its buildings still rely on fossil fuels? How can we support an aging population to stay healthy? Should people receive Alzheimer's diagnoses years ahead of time as our ability to test advances?

These are among the biggest questions researchers and experts are scratching their heads over right now – and just a few of many being explored at this year’s Edinburgh Science Festival.

The world’s largest celebration of science returns to the capital for two weeks in April with an extensive programme spanning events for all ages on space, climate change, medicine and health and artificial intelligence (AI), as tickets go on sale.
