Sir Ian Wilmut Lecture: Professor Shinya Yamanaka
The first in a series of annual scientific lectures to celebrate the legacy of Professor Sir Ian Wilmut.
Professor Wilmut and colleagues pioneered an animal cloning research technique which produced Dolly the sheep, the first mammal created from an adult cell.
This inaugural event in Professor Wilmut’s memory will be presented by Professor Shinya Yamanaka, of Kyoto University, Japan, winner of the 2012 Nobel prize for medicine, and former colleague of the late Professor.
