Roslin Innovation Centre

The location of the Roslin Innovation Centre, at the heart of the University of Edinburgh's Easter Bush Campus, allows for the natural development of business collaborators with laboratory and office space situated close to the science and clinical livestock expertise.

Roslin Innovation Centre opened for business in 2017 and provides a thriving ecosystem for innovation and is focussed on supporting entrepreneurship, growth and commercialisation opportunities for companies undertaking strategic, commercial and collaborative research within Animal Health, Agri-Tech and Aquaculture (A3) and One Health sectors.

The development of Roslin Innovation Centre was a key component of the overall Master Plan for Easter Bush, produced in 2008, and forms an integral part of the significant investment being made by the University of Edinburgh on the Campus. Now home to the Agri-Tech Hub for Data-Driven Innovation (DDI), part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal, it seeks to leverage existing world-class research institutes and commercialisation facilities to help the region become a global location of agri-tech and veterinary excellence.

Facilities and Services

Roslin Innovation Centre offers flexible occupancy terms in office and laboratory space with accommodation for over 285 laboratory workstations and office space for up to 380 scientists.

Each of the laboratory spaces have been carefully designed so that they can be subdivided into any configuration, whilst still maintaining shared access to the support areas and changing facilities. Like the laboratory space, the office areas can also be subdivided into any configuration, whilst maintaining access to break out areas and meeting rooms.

There is a staffed reception on the ground floor, a variety of meeting rooms and pods and access is available to a Central Support Unit (CSU) - providing a range of laboratory services including autoclave, glass-washing, slide and reagent preparation and a lab consumable service.

Tenant companies and staff have access to Campus facilities such as catering, cafes, gym and car parking.
