India and Scotland ramp up regional approach to business ties

An Indian – Scotland Business Meet was hosted in Edinburgh 3rd – 6th March and started with an event at Edinburgh City Chambers aimed at fostering business ties between India and Scotland in renewable energy, life sciences, IT and innovation, and whisky.

It was organised by India’s Edinburgh consulate, Scottish Enterprise, and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Dr. Manesh Thomas, CEO of Manipal-GoK Bioincubator, was part of the delegation that visited several key life science sites in the region,  including Midlothian Science Zone with visits to the Roslin Institute for interaction with Indian Ph.D. students, and tour of  Easter Bush Campus and Pioneer - Edinburgh Technopole.

This event was great opportunity to foster international connections and drive innovation in the life sciences sector.
