Ingenza celebrates 20 years of innovation
Ingenza, a pioneer in engineering biology, celebrates its 20 year anniversary with an event for esteemed colleagues and guests, including many of the company's international customers and those who have helped the company grow over the past 20 years.
The celebration on 20th April also provided an opportunity to reflect on the many achievements of the last two decades and share the company’s exciting plans for the future.
Formal networking in the company's open plan office space at Roslin Innovation Centre was followed by a presentation from Ian Fotheringham, Ingenza founder and CEO, on the evolution of the company and its journey to success, hosted in the Roslin Institute auditorium.
For the past 20 years, Ingenza has engineered and optimised biological systems to prepare high value industrial products and therapeutic proteins for a range of applications, from biofuels and sustainable plastic manufacturing to developing novel antibiotic candidates and next-generation coronavirus vaccines.
The company’s success has been accelerated by its impressive portfolio of long-standing business partners and extensive network of biotechnology collaborations, addressing challenges in human health and the environment.
The presentation was followed by a short drinks reception then a private tour of the nearby historic Rosslyn Chapel and dinner at The Original Rosslyn, a traditional family-run inn in the village of Roslin.
