Midlothian biotech receives £650,000 follow-on investment

OGI Bio has secured follow-on funding of £650,000 in a deal led by TRICAPITAL Angels and supported by Scottish Enterprise, Merleview, Apollo, and Old College Capital. The funding will accelerate OGI Bio’s expansion in the UK, EU, and US biotechnology sectors.

OGI Bio’s advanced bioreactors and automated systems streamline microbial growth, optimising product development in diverse sectors.

The company, based on Pentlands Science Park in Midlothian Science Zone, was founded to address the inefficiencies of manual microbial growth and is developing affordable and innovative solutions for the automation and analysis of microbial culturing.
