The Bush Loan Junction is the first phase of the A701 Improvement programme (Midlothian). This programme of enabling transport infrastructure will improve traffic flow in the A701 corridor, promote active travel and enhance public transport infrastructure, supporting a shift away from private car usage in this area. The upgraded junction at Bush Loan will allow further expansion at the University of Edinburgh’s Easter Bush Campus and across the Midlothian Science Zone, which is a key economic driver for the region.
